New York NY: During this time we would have seen the NHL taking part in the best part of the season which is the Playoffs, but everything is on pause due to the Coronavirus, let’s go take a look back at some memorable moments in Philadelphia sports history.
We go back to April 20, 2014, as the Philadelphia Flyers took on the New York Rangers in Game 2 of the 2014 NHL Playoffs 1st round from Madison Square Garden in New York. Ray Emery got the start for the Flyers going against Henrik Lundqvist.
The Rangers would come out and jump all over the Flyers in the first period for a 2-0 lead and the Flyers got back into the game on the goal from Jake Voracek late in the first period & would be down 2-1.
Flyers got the game tied at 2 in the second period on a goal from Jason Akeson & this is where the game would shift to the Flyers momentum.
With the game tied at 2 in the second period, the Flyers would take advantage of a delayed penalty call on the Rangers and they would make them play as Luke Schenn scores to give Flyers the 3-2 lead.
