It is always exciting when you get to play in front of the nation on the and that is what we had as the Temple Owls took on Number 5 Maryland Terrapins In the Orlando Invitational from HP Field House in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The Owls come into the game 4-0 while Terrapins head into battle with a 5-0 record.
Temple would get some good news before the game as Jake Forrester would make his debut after getting approval from the NCAA
In the first half, the Owls would open the scoring on a basket from Quinton Rose for 2-0 lead, Terrapins got on the board on basket from Anthony Cowan from 3 PT range for 3-2 lead. Temple would have a lead of 7 before Maryland would rally back on two separate times to get the game tied with the last one being at 26 with 2:13 left in the half. The Owls would end the half strong as Terrapins would turn it over and Alani Moore ll would make sot before the buzzer as Temple took a 34-29 lead into halftime.

Things would be very different in the second half as Temple would continue to make things hard for Maryland but Terrapins would not go away as they would retake the lead at 38-37 with 17:48 left, this was Maryland’s first lead since lead 3-2 early in the first half.
In the second, neither team would have a lead higher than 5. for Terrapins it would be 49-44 with 12:29 left. With under 4 minutes left, Temple would go on a run and get the game tied at 62 on the shot from Quinto Rosse
A few minutes later, Maryland Anthony Cowan would start to make things difficult for the Owls as he would make a huge shot that would hurt the Owls
Temple would show that never give up attitude but the Marland defense would be too much as the number 5 teams in the nation hold on down the stretch for a 76-69 win. With the win, Maryland is now 6-0 on the season & for Temple, this would be their first loss on the season.

Since Maryland won, they get the Winner of Texas A&M/Harvard on Friday, November 29 & Temple would get the loser of Texas A&M/Harvard also on November 29.
