Eagles soar past Bears as they head into Bye Week

Philadelphia: For the first time in over a month the Philadelphia Eagles will play a home game as they took on the Chicago Bears from Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia.

The Eagles come into this game off of a victory over the Buffalo Bills while the Bears head to South Philadelphia on a three-game losing streak.

The Eagles would beat the Bears 22-14 to get 5-4 on the season. Some of the best moments from the win.

Eagles running game:

for the second week in a row the Eagles running game would show their dominance led by Jordan Howard and Miles Sanders.

Jordan Howard Touchdown

The Eagles will open the second half with the ball and they would drive down capped off by a 14-yard touchdown run by Jordan Howard, his first game against the Chicago Bears since being traded in the offseason to the Eagles.

In the first half of this game the Eagles defense would be the story as the Chicago Bears would go most of the first half without picking up a first down on offense, the Bears will get their first first down of the game with 48 seconds left in the second quarter

Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz would have his way as he would draw the Chicago Bears offsides on four separate occasions in the first half.

Big receiving day for Zach Ertz:

Eagles tight end Zach ertz would have a huge day and he also was score a touchdown as well. This is the first time this season that Zach Ertz would go over 100 yards receiving.

This game would also mark the return of Eagles WR DeSean Jackson who’s been out since week 2 with an abdominal injury, it would finish the game with one cash for 5 yards.

After the game, Eagles Coach Doug Pederson said he wanted to play DeSean Jackson the entire game vs Bears & held him out after the first drive for precautionary reasons, more testing this week.

Clutch plays late by Eagles:

Late in the fourth quarter with the Chicago Bears trying to make a stop to get the ball back the Eagles will convert a huge third down by Dallas Goedert and stopped any opportunity for the Bears to do anything

The Eagles will kick a field goal for a 22-14 lead and on the ensuing kickoff the Chicago Bears were fumbling away and the Eagles was secure the win

With the win the Eagles now go to 5-4 on the season and will head into their bye week.

The next time the Eagles return the game action will be on November 17th when they take on the New England Patriots from Lincoln Financial Field at 4:25 on CBS.
