Philadelphia: it has been a long since months since we’ve seen football but it made its return as the Philadelphia Eagles opened up their preseason against the New York Jets at Lincoln Financial Field on Friday night. The Jets defeated the Eagles 24-21 but there’s a couple things that stood out from this game
During the entire off-season and so far through training camp can Jalen Hurts be the guy to lead this team and is he able to admit that he has things he needs to work on. On the first drive he would take it down the field for the touchdown
There was a lot of us surrounding two Eagles draft picks from this year in Jordan Davis Nakobe Dean lived up to the hype as they both came from the University of Georgia who won the national championship both guys would make play on defense
There was another player that stood out in this game and it is Center Cam Jurgens, he has the same bill as Jason Kelce, in this game he sure that he can step in right away if Kelce would not be ready.
Following the game, Eagles coach Nick Sirianni was asked about the hit to Jalen Hurts on the first drive
“Obviously, I didn’t want that hit to happen on the sideline. I know it happens, and I know it’s football. I was more mad at the situation, not mad at Coach Saleh. He and I talked after the game, and I wished him nothing but luck and he did the same. He’s a friend. I have a lot of respect for him.”
