Philadelphia: There is a certain feel in the air when a new football season has arrived and that is what is going on in Philadelphia with a new Head Coach Nick Sirianni & new QB Jalen Hurts taking over.
On Sunday night, the Philadelphia Eagles would hold one of their training camp practices at Lincoln Finical Field for the first time since 2019, they did not have one in 2020 due to COVID19
Here are a couple things that I noticed during the practice.
Jalen Hurts would get a nice ovation from the crowd as he entered the field
During the offseason, there would be a lot of questions if TE Zach Ertz would be on the Eagles as the 2021 season would begin and during the practice, Ertz would receiver a nice ovation as he came out for practice
The Eagles 2021 1st round pick, WR Devonta Smith who is out with an knee injury would get a very nice ovation when shown on the jumbotron.
One of the young WR for the Eagles, Quez Watkins would ball out infront of the crowd and would catch every ball that was coming his way.
Quez Watkins Touchdown from Hurts
WR Jalen Reagor who is entering his 2nd year with the Eagles would continue to impress everyone at Training Camp and during the Open Practice, Reagor would burn Steven Nelson for Touchdown
During the 11 vs 11 drill, Jalen Hurts would show off his scramble ability and run for a touchdown
One of the questions is what happens if Jalen Hurts struggles who would be the number 2 QB & the Eagles would go out and sign a veteran QB in Joe Flacco would has won a Super Bowl and during the practice would make some good throws with one of them to TE Dallas Goedert
The Eagles would announce a crowd of 25,896 in attendance for the first practice
During the practice, there would be a mini fight in the crowd and as we know with sports, there would be some of those people who like to cause issues and get into fights and look stupid in the process
Following practice, several players including Jalen Hurts would do some post practice laps
Overall, this was good to see the fans back in good numbers for the open practice and it also gives you an idea of what direction this team is going to give you for the upcoming season.
The Eagles will play their first Preseason game on Thursday August 12 when they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers from Lincoln Financial Field at 7:30 PM on NBC Philadelphia.
