Report: Eagles not giving up hope on Carson Wentz

Philadelphia: The NFL Playoffs got started on Saturday and the Philadelphia Eagles are not part of the playoffs for the first time since 2016 and there are a lot of questions that needed to be asked about the future of their QB Carson Wentz.

During the Saturday edition of NFL Gameday morning on NFL Network, report came down from Ian Rapoport saying the Eagles are not giving up hope on Carson Wentz

During the 2020 season, Carson Wentz struggled as he threw 16 touchdowns with 15 interceptions, Wentz would get benched in the 2nd half of their  Week 13 game against the Green Bay Packers for 2020 2nd round pick QB Jalen Hurts.

On the final day of the regular season a report came out saying that Carson Wentz relationship with the Eagles is Broken and wants to be traded

When the season ended, Doug Pederson would get asked about Carson Wentz

”The relationship is good. It’s fine. It’s something that we’re going to continue to build upon, and listen, I know Carson’s disappointed. It’s not the season that he had anticipated. It’s not the season I had anticipated as the head coach. There were a lot of moving parts. It’s not about one guy here. It takes all of us and that’s something that we’ve stressed a lot here.

But at the same time, I’ve been hired as the head coach. I’ve been challenged as the head coach; personally challenged myself to get things right, to get him right and to make sure that as we move forward that we’re doing everything in the best interests of the team.

And I know we can do that and obviously surrounding the quarterback position with the right guys with the right men and that’s also something that we’re going to work on this off-season.”

During the 2020 draft, Howie Roseman would explain about drafting Jalen Hurts to replace Carson Wentz

Now the question going into the offseason is can the Doug Pederson & some of the players work to help Fix whatever is going on with Carson Wentz that made him struggle very bad during the 2020 season.

Some are saying that Carson Wentz has not fully recovered from getting knocked out in the playoff loss to the Seahawks

The Eagles ended the 2020 season at 4-11-1 and in the process they would end up with the number 6 pick in the 2021 draft & now the question will be can Howie Roseman do the right thing and get a player that would help the QB if it is Carson Wentz or Jalen Hurts.
