University Park PA: As we know that every team has their struggles to begin the season and everyone is experiencing that with COVID19. Penn State hockey is currently 0-5 to start the season and on Thursday night they looked for their first win of the season as they took on number 7 Michigan from Pegula Ice Arena on the campus of Penn State University
The Nittany Lions jump on Michigan for the 2-0 lead, Michigan would respond back by scoring the next 2 to even things at 2 at the end of 1st period
In the second period, Philadelphia Flyers prospect Cam York would have a very sick goal which boke the tie and gave michigan the 3-2 lead
After Michigan took the 3-2 lead, Penn State would respond with a 5 goal second period which gave them the 7-4 lead at end of 2nd period.
The Goal from Alex Limogus on the Power Play which gave Penn State the 5-4 lead and from there, Penn State did not look back and kept the pressure on Michigan.
In the 3rd period, Michigan cut the Penn State lead down to 2 at 7-5 but Penn State would ice the game with 2 additional goals for the 9-5 win for their first win of the 2020-21 season
The Goal by Bobby Hampton which would be his 2nd of game would ice it
This was a crazy and high scoring game and this was a game that Penn State needed for their first win and also this was their last conference game before the Big Ten releases the 2nd part of the schedule
