Philadelphia: The 2019-20 season for the Philadelphia Flyers has been very interesting since they have entered the bubble of Toronto to battle for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. There have been alot of exciting and not so good moments.
Lets take a look at some of the best moments that have happened for the Flyers in the Bubble.
July 28: The Flyers took on their instate rivals the Pittsburgh Penguins in Exhibition play & the Flyers came out on top on Scott Laughton OT Winner
August 2: Flyers open Round Robin Play against the Bruins and they would take down Bruins 4-1 & they looked good, one of the goals was by Scott Laughton which made it 4-1
August 6: Flyers took on the Capitals in the 2nd game of the Round Robin and Travis Konecny made and amazing behind the back pass to Scott Laughton for the goal
August 8: Flyers played Tampa Bay in winner take all to see who gets the number 1 seed in the East playoffs and Ghost with great pass to Joel Farabee for the bast to make it 3-1.
Flyers took on Montreal in First Round and took them down in 6 Games
August 12: Flyers opened the first round of playoffs against Montreal & who would get the 1st Goal of the Playoffs, it was Jakub Voracek
Flyers would take Game 1
Flyers answered their Game 2 loss with a back to back wins in game 3 & 4 both by shutouts from Carter Hart
Jake Voracek scores the only goal in Game 3
Philippe Myers added to the Flyers lead in Game 4
Flyers would fall in game 5 and would end the series in game 6
Kevin Hayes would finally score in Game 6
How the Flyers made the 2nd Round for the first time since 2012
The Flyers went to battle with the New York Islanders in the Second Round and it went to a game 7.
August 24: The Flyers would lose game 1 but Carter Hart would make some big saves and this was one of them
August 26: Philippe Myers OT winner in Game 2 to even the Series at 1
Sep 1: Scott Laughton OT Winner in Game 5 vs Islanders
Sep 3: In a another must win to keep their season alive, this game would end up going into double overtime & Ivan Provorov would keep the Flyers season going to Game 7
A very cool moment would take place in game 6 as Oskar Lindblom would play in his first game since December 11 when he defeated Cancer and the team would get behind him and did not want the season to end
Overall the end result was a loss in Game 7, this Flyers team brought the entire city on a ride that i don’t believe anyone could have seen going when the league shutdown on March 12 when COVID-19 hit.
This Flyers team has the young players built to do some damage in the league for the next couple of year lead by goalie Carter Hart, Travis Koecney, Oskar Lindblom, Ivan Provorov,
