Report: Spencer Howard to Make Debut on Sunday vs Braves

Philadelphia: We already know going into this 60 game MLB Season that there would be challenges & making sure you have enough players. On the other hand, this gives the chance to see some of your young players get some playing time.

On Saturday morning, Report from Scott Lauber of the Inquirer saying that the Phillies will bring up one of their top pitching prospects this weekend

The Phillies would need to make a roster spot to make room for Spencer Howard.

With the Phillies being rained out on Friday night, they will do a Doubleheader on Sunday

Doubleheader Times:

In the report, it says that Spencer Howard will start one of the doubleheader games on Sunday.

The Phillies drafted Spencer Howard in the second round of the 2017 draft.

There has not been a lot of buzz for a debut of a homegrown prospect since Aaron Nola in 2015 & even Cole Hamels in 2006.

This would be the best time to bring up Spencer Howard as the Phillies will have a couple games the rest of the season that they would need an extra starter and with this new format of a doubleheader being 7 innings.
