AHL Cancels Remainder of 2019-20 season due to CoronaVirus

Allentown PA: As sports fans across the nation wait to see if their particular sport would resume their season following it being paused from the Coronavirus. The American Hockey League would make a very difficult decision.

On Monday, the AHL would announce that it has canceled the remainder of the 2019-20 regular season & postseason due to the health concerns from the coronavirus

In Statement from AHL President David Andrews goes into explaining the decision to cancel the rest of the season

The AHL would suspend play on March 12 when the Virus hit the USA and the rest of the sports leagues would make their decision to suspend play

Statement from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms who are the Philadelphia Flyers AHL Affiliates about the rest of the 2019-20 season canceled
