Chester PA: The Sports world is on a break from the coronavirus, so I decided to do a series and look back at some of the games & events that I covered over the years.
For the debut of the series, I will be talking about my 1st ever event as a member of the media which was the 2012 MLS All-Star game in Chester PA.
The game featured the best of MLS taking on the European champions, Chelsea.
Some big names took part in this game like Landon Donovan, David Beckham
This was a special All-Star game for the Philadelphia Union as it was their 1st time hosting the event and also had two players make the All-Star team in Michael Farfan & Carlos Valdes

Overall this was an amazing event to be part of for my 1st time covering sports with some of the biggest names in soccer come to the Philadelphia area to take on the top team in Europe and in the process winning the game as well.
Let’s hope that MLS eventually brings the All-Star Game back to Chester or if they want to take it to the next level bring it to Lincoln Financial Field.
