Buffalo NY: We know the drama that is the playoffs and everyone is on the edge of their seats as you don’t want to miss anything.
This Easter look back we go to April 24, 2011, as the Philadelphia Flyers took on the Buffalo Sabres in Game 6 of their first-round playoff series from HSBC Arena in Buffalo NY, The Sabres lead the series 3-2 and had a chance to end the series.
Buffalo came out and jumped all over the Flyers for a 3-1 lead at end of 1st period & in this game, you saw the Flyers would start Michael Leighton and then make the change to Brian Boucher to start the 2nd period and the Flyers would respond and get the game tied at 3 & two of the goals in the period were by Danny Briere.
The Sabres took a 4-3 lead in the 3rd period and the fight and grit of the Philly would be tested as Scott Hartnell would tie the game at 4 with 6 minutes left.
This game would head into overtime and the Flyers would come out on top on goal by Ville Leino and this series would head to a GAME 7.
