Seton Hall chases down Wildcats at the end for a big road win

Villanova: As everyone gets ready for the Super Bowl, we had an interesting battle on the mainline as the Villanova Wildcats Women’s basketball team took on Seton Hall Pirates from Finneran Pavilion on the campus of Villanova University. Villanova comes into the game at 12-9 & 6-4 in Big East while Seton Hall made their way to Villanova with a record of 13-8 & 6-4 in Big East. Villanova beat Seton Hall back on January 3.

In the first quarter, the defense would be the story as both Villanova & Seton Hall would make each other work harder for them to score as the Wildcats took a 17-16 lead at end of the first quarter.

Mary Gedaka would have a huge first half as she puts in 20 points

During the Second half, the Wildcats would keep the pressure on the Pirates as they would have a lead of 13 at 55-42 with 58 seconds left in the 3rd quarter. Down the stretch, the Pirates would slowly cut the Wildcats lead as they took the lead at 60-59 with 3:42 left. The game would be tied with 4.3 seconds left & this happened which would give the Pirates the lead

The Wildcats would have a final chance but it would come up short as the Pirates come into Villanova and steal this game from the Wildcats. This loss should hurt the Wildcats as they were in control of 57 of the 60 minutes of the game.
