Philadelphia: The bright lights that is the NFL playoffs came to Lincoln Financial Field in South Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon as the Philadelphia Eagles took on the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Wild Card Game.
The Seahawks took down the Eagles 17-9 and some things I took away from the game
Carson Wentz Injured:
On the Eagles second drive of the game, Carson Wentz would get injured by Jadeveon Clowney
The hit
the Eagles would announce that Carson Wentz was being evaluated for a head injury and his return is questionable
Before the second half started the Eagles would announce the following
this was a big blow for the Eagles especially this was Carson Wentz first career playoff start and he worked so hard to get through the entire regular season to get to be able to start a playoff game.
Josh McCown steps in:
When Carson Wentz went down with Head injury, Josh McCown would come in and make some throws and did his best to keep the Eagles in the game. This was the first playoff game that Josh McCown would play in

Zach Ertz would play:
Coming into the game, there would be questions if TE Zach Ertz would be playing after having a back and rib injury and the answer was YES he would play
Catch for first down:
Seahawks made the plays:
In this game, Seahawks would make big plays lead by Russell Wilson & Marshawn Lynch which would put pressure on the Eagles the rest of the game
Marshawn Lynch Touchdown:
Russell Wilson Touchdown:
Overall, this game the Eagles had their chances to move the ball and make this an interesting game, the Offence would look a lot different when Josh McCown came into the game and just ran out of time, the players that came from the Practice squad did their best to keep the season going lead by Boston Scott & Greg Ward.
The 2019 Eagles would be known for the Practice Squad
Final Numbers:
Now the Philadelphia Eagles will head into the offseason to try to do better what they did this season one thing they did was surprised a lot of people was how they or able to fight their way to winning the NFC east from the Dallas Cowboys and with the players from the Practice Squad that made big plays when some of the key offensive players went on injured reserve.
You have to give credit to Doug Pederson and how he was able to mix and match and also how Carson Wentz respond to adversity all season in leading the Eagles to win the division, just a terrible way that Wentz went down with the injury in his first career playoff start.
