Temple is 1-0 on the season under new coach Rod Carey and having the week off could it ruin any momentum the team had from their season-opening win over Bucknell on August 31 while the Owls Opponent the 21st ranked Maryland Terrapins enter this game at 2-0 and off the upset win over Syracuse last week.
Maryland is looking for revenge as the Owls came down to College Park last year and knocked out the Terrapins 35-14. In the game last year, Anthony Russo made his first career start for the Owls.Β This will be Maryland first trip to Philly to play the Owls since 2012 when Maryland won 36-27.
The last time that Temple defeated a rank team, it was during the 2018 season when the Owls took down Cincinnati in Overtime at Lincoln Financial Field.
