Below are my takeaways from the Phillies 10-4 win over the Braves on Opening Day.

Aaron Nola gets start:
After having an all-star season in 2018, Aaron Nola would get the start on Opening Day for the 2nd year in a row.  Nola would go 6 innings, 2 hits, 1 run, 8 strikeouts, 5 walks on 99 pitches, 57 of them went for strikes.

Bryce Harper Experience:
This was a day that Phillies fans have been waiting for since they signed Bryce Harper on March 2 as he would play

Ovation when he got introduced:

Standing ovation for his first at-bat

Harper would go 0-3, 2 strikeouts, 1 walk & scored a run.

Andrew Mccutchen HR:
What a way to make a debut and get the teams first runs of the season then a leadoff home run

J.T. Realmuto debut:
In the 6th inning, J.T. Realmuto would throw his first person out of the season as he would nail Braves Freddy Freeman in the 6th.

During the game, NBC Sports Philadelphia would announce that Jimmy Rollins would join the broadcast team for Select games during the 2019 season.

Franco with Blast:
In the 6th inning with the Phillies leading 3-1, the Phillies would add to the lead when Maikel Franco batting 8th would blast a shot out for a 6-1 lead.

Did someone say Grand Slam????
The Phillies would open the game up in the 7th inning  as Braves would intentionally walk Harper to load the bases and Rhys Hoskins would make the Braves pay

Phillies win the game 10-4 & they will return to action on Saturday, March 30 at 4PM on FS1 & NBC Sports Philadelphia+

Final Boxscore:
Win: Aaron Nola
Loss: Julio Teheran
Time: 3 Hours & 4 minutes
Attendance: 44,496
