Philadelphia: We had a big game at the Wells Fargo Center South Philadelphia on Thursday night as the Philadelphia Flyers took on defending Stanley cup champion Washington Capitals.
Below are my Takeaways from the Flyers 5-2 loss to the Capitals
Hart back in Goal:
For the first time since February 21 that Carter Hart would be in net for the Flyers and coming into the game there would be moments of Rust for being out for that time period. Hart would make 27 saves on 31 shots.
Hart stops Alex Ovechkin:
In this game tonight Flyers goalie Carter Hart would make a couple big saves on Capitals star Alex Ovechkin
One of the saves that Carter Hart made on Alex Ovechkin tonight
Flyers Goal Scorers:
The Flyers were able to get two goals past Capitals goalie Braden Holtby & they were by James Van Riemsdyk and Scott Laughton

Scott Laughton bangs one home:
Flyers Missed Opportunities:
In this game the Philadelphia Flyers would have their chances to score but they just could not finish especially on the power play when they had a chance to get back into this game and they could not execute.
Worst Penalty Call Ever:
In the third period, Flyers Michael Raffl was being hooked as he was going for the puck on a breakaway & the capitals player was grabbing him the referee will call penalty but call it on the Flyers Michael Raffl two minutes for hooking.
How can you call this hooking on Raffl???????
what they should have done was called two minutes for hooking on the Capitals player and Michael Raffl to even things out but just to call hooking on Raffl you have to be kidding me.
Playoff Push:
With 11 games remaining, Can the Flyers do enough to catch those teams ahead of them to get into the Playoffs
Updated Standings in the East:
Final Numbers:
This game tonight against the capitals was not one of their better performances of the Season as the Flyers continue to make their push to try to get into the playoffs. They will have to rebound very quickly as they will go on the road to play the Toronto Maple Leafs tomorrow night at 7 p.m.
