Takeaways from Sixers win vs Nuggets

Philadelphia: It is always special when the franchise honors one of its greatest players and that is what we had on Friday night as the Philadelphia 76ers took on Denver Nuggets from the Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia. The 76ers would Retire Moses Malone Number 2.

Below are some takeaways from the Sixers 117-110 win over the Denver Nuggets.

Moses Malone:
The Sixers would raise Number 2 to the Rafters at the Wells Fargo Center and one of the Sixers greats were on hand for the Ceremony including  ”Dr. J” Julius Erving, Allen Iverson, Charles Barkley, and other members of the Sixers 1983 Championship team that Moses Malone was part of.

JJ Redick had it going:  
When you get one of those players that is hot from the start, you just keep giving him the ball and let him do damage and that is what JJ Redick did against the Nuggets, put up 34 points on 6-7 from 3 PT Range

Ben Simmons Monster Dunk:
Late in the 4th with the Sixers leading 109-105 and Ben Simmons would bring the house down with a monster dunk and he got fouled during the dunk.

New Players:
This game marked the debut of the new players the Sixers got at the NBA Trade Deadline in Boban Marjanovic, Tobias Harris, James Ennis III, Mike Scott. All the players made an impact in their home debut at the Wells Fargo Center.

Boban Marjanovic would get a standing ovation as he entered the game and then score a few minutes later

Ben Simmons & Jimmy Butler Connection:
The Connection that Ben Simmons & Jimmy Butler would have is really good and it would be on display as Simmons would find Butler with the dunk.
