Report: Sixers trade Landry Shamet & Players to Clippers for Tobias Harris, Boban Marjanovic

Philadelphia: The question around the NBA is who is going to make the big splash as NBA Trade Deadline is Thursday at 3PM and it looks like the Philadelphia Sixers are one of the first teams to make a move.

Early Wednesday Morning, Report by ESPN that the Sixers & Clippers have agreed to make a trade and it follows

After looking at the trade, the first thing that came to mind was that did the Sixers give up a lot just for a player that is only going to be here for 3 months and not keeping the 2021 unprotected 1st round pick. the second thing about the trade is that Brett Brown has another scoring option to work with Joel Embiid, Jimmy Butler & Ben Simmons.

Sixers drafted Landry Shamet at number 26 in the 2018 NBA Draft while the team signed Wilson Chandler & Mike Muscala in the offseason.

The Sixers played the Clippers two times this season and won both games & in those games,  Tobias Harris would put up 24 & 21 points in the two games.

Tobias Harris is averaging 20.7 PPG, 7.9 RPG, 2.7 APG, 2.0 threes while shooting 49.3% from the field and 42.2% from three-point range & he is entering the final year of his contract and could be getting a max deal in free agency

So your new starting lineup for the Sixers will now look like this
PG – Ben Simmons
SG – JJ Redick
SF – Jimmy Butler
PF – Tobias Harris
C – Joel Embiid

This is a good move made by Elton Brand to get another player to go with Joel Embiid, Jimmy Butler & Ben Simmons and this is now showing that the Sixers are now a team to be a major factor in the East playoffs. This was the 2nd big move that Elton Brand has made, the first was getting Jimmy Butler from Minnesota.

What is your take on the trade, who got the better of the deal

Another note is that the Sixers have plans to sign the new Big 4 for the long term
