Takeaways from Sixers win vs Lakers

Los Angeles CA: A primetime battle on TNT came to the Staples Center in Los Angeles CA on Tuesday night as the Philadelphia 76ers took on the Los Angeles Lakers. The Sixers come into the game with a 32-18 record while the Lakers had a 26-24 record.

Here are some takeaways from the Sixers 121-105 win over the Lakers.

Jimmy Butler returns to lineup:

After being out for a couple games with a wrist injury, Jimmy Butler returned to the lineup and he would make an impact

Butler would play good defense

Butler would finish with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists

Ben Simmons went on attack mode:
From the start of the game, Simmons would be in attack mode and it would start on the first play of the game

Simmons would have some nasty dunks and would fill the stat sheet with 19 points, 8 rebounds & 8 assists

Joel Embiid back in action:
After sitting out in Saturday’s loss to the Nuggets, Embiid returned to the lineup and he would be a force to play with all night

Embiid would have himself a night against the Lakers with 28 points, 11 rebounds & 6 assists.

Embiid with minor Injury:
In the 4th quarter with the Sixers leading 99-86, the Sixers would be on the break and Ben Simmons would throw a pass to Embiid for the dunk but Embiid could not finish he would go down hard

Embiid would return with 4:05 left in the 4th and

There would be some saying why would you play Embiid if he is still injured. On the NBA on TNT Postgame show, Candace Parker said that Joel Embiid should not have been playing with a back injury

Brandon Ingram was on fire for Lakers:
With LeBron James out, Brandon Ingram would step up and boy he did and would make some big shots and one point the Sixers could not figure out how to stop him. Lakers would go a 15-0 run to get back in the game started by Ingram.

Ingram would have the poster dunk of the game on Sixers Corey Brewer in the 2nd quarter.

Ingram would finish with a career-high 36 PTS with 5 REB & 5 AST
